How to Bake High Alumina Bricks

2016-07-04

When constructing high alumina bricks, to ensure there is enough time to complete stirring, transportation and molding, the initial setting time of cement should not be too short. After the initial setting, the bricks still need to be baked.
High Alumina Bricks
(1) At the room temperature near 350 ℃, the bricks are most likely to crack. The temperature should be risen slowly. If there is still a lot of vapor after insulated at 350 ℃, slow the rate of temperature rise.
(2) When baking with firewood, the temperature of parts in direct contact with the flame always increases too fast, so those parts should be protected.
(3) The cooling of the concrete linings should be slow too to avoid forced ventilation.
(4) Under the conditions of poor ventilation and difficult water and gas discharging, the insulation time should be expanded.
(5) Newly installed high alumina bricks should be baked after at least 3 days.
(6) After high alumina bricks are baked with heavy oil, take measure to prevent the heavy oil from spraying on the surface of linings to avoid local cracks.
